The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has signed a strategic agreement with the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA) to enhance collaboration in the areas of energy, water, and sustainability. The partnership is aimed at developing innovative, sustainable solutions that contribute to a more prosperous future for the Emirate of Sharjah.

The agreement was formalized by Dr. Farid Al Amiri, Executive Director of Strategy at SRTI Park, and Majid Hureimel Al Shamsi, Director General of Corporate Support at SEWGA.

The collaboration will focus on the exchange of expertise in technological and applied research. Additionally, both parties will launch public awareness initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability, along with projects that encourage the smart use of modern technology for energy and water conservation.

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, highlighted that the agreement is in line with the park’s vision to foster technological innovation and provide an environment conducive to advanced research. He emphasized that the partnership with SEWGA demonstrates a shared commitment to addressing challenges related to energy, water, and sustainability. Al Mahmoudi further stated, “This partnership is a key step in positioning the Sharjah Research and Technology Park as a leading innovation hub, reinforcing Sharjah’s attractiveness for sustainable technology investment.”

Majid Hureimel Al Shamsi, Director General of Corporate Support at SEWGA, expressed the authority’s dedication to fostering innovation and sustainability. He said, “This agreement reflects SEWGA’s strategy to promote innovation, support research in renewable energy, water conservation, and energy efficiency, while also launching green initiatives that leverage advanced technologies to reduce environmental impacts.”

The agreement outlines the development of projects that will improve resource efficiency using the latest artificial intelligence technologies. Additionally, the partnership will focus on upgrading infrastructure and providing innovative solutions to meet environmental objectives in Sharjah and the broader region.

This collaboration underscores Sharjah’s commitment to building a more sustainable future through strategic partnerships and cutting-edge technological solutions.
